Police Arrest Five Hunters for Alleged Involvement in Killing of 14-year-old

The police have arrested five hunters for their alleged involvement in the killing of a 14-year-old teenager in Maiha local government area of Adamawa State. The arrest was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, in a statement to newsmen in Yola on Friday.

Nguroje reported that the suspects tortured the victim to death for allegedly stealing N20,000. "The Adamawa State Police Command arrested five hunters on 5/6/2024 for the unlawful arrest and torture of a 14-year-old teenager," the PPRO said.

"The suspects are currently under investigation and will be charged to court for justice to take its course." The Commissioner of Police, CP Morris, condemned the actions of the hunters and warned the public against taking the law into their own hands.
